Helping Single Parents in Larimer County, Colorado

Assisting Single Parent Families

Supporting Project Self-Sufficiency has never been easier! Schedule a credit card donation any time, any place through our secure provider, Click & Pledge. Donations are vital to the efforts of Project Self-Sufficiency. Your gifts assist low-income, single parents in their efforts to build and maintain strong, healthy families; achieve economic independence; and become free from community and government assistance.

Our fiscal year ends December 31st. As you consider you year-end tax planning and to take advantage of any tax credits, please consider making your gift prior to or on December 31st, since we will close our fiscal year no later than January 31st and cannot make any changes to gifts after this date.

If you would like to make a year-end gift to be counted as a 2017 donation, please drop off in our Loveland office by 5pm Friday, December 29th, postmark by Saturday, December 30th, or donate online with a credit card by midnight, December 31st.

Project Self-Sufficiency also seeks to prevent the continuation of poverty from generation to generation through a series of interventions that support and educate families while modeling successful behaviors by adults for children. Your contributions assist in this effort as well.

Consider setting up a recurring gift. It's easy and a good return on investment. They reduce direct mailing costs and staff processing, allowing more investment to go to program elements. They also help us flatten out the cyclical nature of our cash flow, allowing for better planning and program stability.

Tax Benefits

Project-Self-Sufficiency can benefit a family and lower your taxes. As we are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, your gifts are tax deductible.

Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit and Enterprise Zone Tax Credit

Charitable contributions must be designated to our Child Care Fund at the time of donation to be eligible for a 50% state income tax credit in Colorado. To learn more, see our Child Care Tax Credit flyer and consult your tax professional for more information. If your gift is not designated to the Child Care Fund, we will not process form DR1317.

In order to process this tax credit, we must receive the last 4-digits of your SSN and submit form DR75 to Larimer County by January 26th each year. If you would like to receive an EZ Tax Credit for 2016 and we do not have this information, you will have to file an extension, so we can submit to the County in July at their next deadline.
